POLK COUNTY – Alvin Harold Pack, age 74, passed away December 10, 2020, a resident of Polk County, North Carolina.  He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 47 years,  Loretta  Gillin Pack.   Alvin was the son of Hoyt  and Glenna Pack of Columbus and is survived by his sisters,  Anna Conner and Virginia Lisella and a brother,  Marvin Pack.

Alvin was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in Germany after enlisting in the summer of 1967.  After his discharge, he lived in California where he met and married Loretta and was very successful  in the real estate business. He and Loretta moved to Columbus in 2000 and he and family founded the Green Creek Winery in Columbus.
