Sheriff’s office arrests Columbus men for breaking into local residences
COLUMBUS—The Polk County Sheriff’s Office arrested 2 Columbus men recently for stealing property.
Brian Ross Guffey, 49, of Columbus and Dustin Lucas McDowell, 18, also of Columbus, were both charged with multiple breaking and entering, larceny and possession of stolen good offenses, according to sheriff reports.
Investigators from the sheriff’s office executed search warrants on Possum Trot Lane and Fox Mountain Road in the Columbus Township on Oct. 13. The sheriff’s office said they found stolen property during the searches and at the conclusion of the investigation made the arrests.
