Virus has been detected in Autumn Care and White Oak
POLK COUNTY—The state of North Carolina is now giving more information regarding Coronavirus cases in nursing homes, including positive cases for staff and residents as well as deaths.
The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services is releasing data regarding nursing care facilities in each of the state’s 100 counties.
In Polk County, there have been positive cases of the COVID-19 virus in two nursing homes.
Autumn Care in Saluda has had a total of 14 cases and all 3 deaths for the county, according to the NCDHHS. There has been two staff members at Autumn Care who have tested positive and 12 residents who have tested positive, according to the NCDHHS.
At White Oak Manor of Tryon, there have been 3 staff members who have tested positive, zero resident cases and zero deaths, according to the NCDHHS.
