Isothermal Community College is publicly recognizing nearly 100 outstanding students this month.
The recognitions are usually made at several ceremonies held each spring on campus. However, due to restrictions on large gatherings because of the Covid-19 pandemic, those events were cancelled.
Instead, the students will receive the award certificates and citations through the mail and will be recognized on the college’s website and Facebook page.
“It’s unfortunate that we can’t show our appreciation to these students face-to-face,” said Mike Gavin, Isothermal’s director of Marketing and Community Relations. “We are very proud of their accomplishments before and during this pandemic. They are strong, they are smart, they work hard and are well disciplined. Each one of them is setting a great example of how to make a better life for themselves, their families and their communities.”
