County gains 3 positives over the weekend
POLK COUNTY—As of Monday afternoon, Polk County had 26 cases of Coronavirus, or COVID-19.
Polk County officials announced Saturday it had 24 cases, then on Monday a little afternoon, announced it has 26 cases. The county had 23 cases as of Friday.
South Carolina Governor Henry McMaster lifted the stay-at-home order last week and restaurants were allowed to offer outside dining as of Monday.
North Carolina as of Monday morning had 11,848 cases with 430 deaths. The state has completed 146,439 tests, with 498 people being in the hospital and the virus detected in 99 of the state’s 100 counties.
As of Monday, Buncombe County had 77 cases and 4 deaths; Henderson County had 203 cases and 21 deaths; Rutherford County had 146 cases and 4 deaths and Transylvania County was still at 7 cases and zero deaths, according to the NCDHHS. Polk County also has zero deaths from the virus.
South Carolina as of Monday morning had 6,626 positive cases with 275 deaths.
Greenville County had 757 cases as of Monday, according to the South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control, with Spartanburg County having 308 cases.
Landrum had 3 cases as of Monday and Campobello had 6 cases, according to the SCDHEC.
