Joshua was raised and lived in Polk County, NC his entire life. He worked for the city of Hendersonville where his friends knew him as “Tootall” but his family knew him as “Bubba.” He loved to fish and hunt and rarely came home empty handed. He loved spending time with his Pa-Paw Hensley with whom he had become close to over the last several years. They were buddies. Bubba was always finding “treasures” or working on a project. Mama and Daddy will forever miss his phones calls and texts. He will be missed by his loving dog, Cujo, AKA, Larry. He used to take him for weekly rides where they would go through the drive through at McDonalds for a “McDouble.”

Josh was a member of Zirconia Missionary Baptist Church where he loved his pastor, Pastor Travis Parker. He will be missed by his friends, CJ, Raymond, Jessie, Joey, Andrew and Chris.

Funeral Services will be two o’clock Wednesday afternoon, February 19, 2020 at First Baptist Church, 312 Fifth Avenue West, Hendersonville, NC with Rev. Travis J. Parker officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park, in Hendersonville. The family will receive friends on Tuesday afternoon and evening, February 18, 2020 from 5:30 to 8:30 pm in the church. Parking may be found across the street from the church.

Memorial contributions may be offered on behalf of Josh to Zirconia Missionary Baptist Church, P.O. Box 231, East Flat Rock, NC, 28726.

Bubba wasn’t perfect, but he was made perfect that Friday morning when our Lord Jesus Christ took him home. “I will always cherish the memory of Josh calling me on a Sunday morning to say ‘I got saved this morning and I made things right with the Lord’.”

Josh will be forever missed by his loving and devoted parents, sister, family and many dear friends.
