In Polk County District Court on Monday, Oct. 28, 2019, with Judge Mack Brittain presiding, 94 cases were heard. Some cases were continued, dismissed or sent to superior court.
The following persons were convicted of a crime:
Jade Ariel Gleaves was convicted of possession of methamphetamine. Gleaves was sentenced to two years supervised probation, 48 hours of community service, a $200 fine and court costs.
Mario Melecio Reyes was convicted of driving after consuming under age 21 and driving while impaired. Reyes was sentenced to one year unsupervised probation, 24 hours of community service, $100 in fines and court costs.
In Polk County District Court on Wednesday, Oct. 30, 2019 with Judge Mack McKeller presiding, 119 cases were heard. Some cases were continued, dismissed or sent to superior court.
The following persons were convicted of a crime:
Fred Edwon Aiken Jr. was convicted of operating a vehicle with improper equipment. Aiken was fined $40 and court costs.
Jason Carroll Barnes was convicted of two counts of possession of methamphetamine and maintaining a vehicle/dwelling/place for a controlled substance. Barnes was sentenced to two years supervised probation, 24 hours of community service and court costs.
Mary Lynn Dentremont was convicted of operating a vehicle with improper equipment. Dentremont was fined $40 and court costs.
Christopher W. Edwards was convicted of driving while license revoked-not impaired revocation. Edwards was sentenced to one day in jail with credit for time served.
Sabra Fay Ems was convicted of driving while license revoked-not impaired revocation. Ems was sentenced to one day in jail with credit for time served.
Daniel Jerome Freeman was convicted of possession of open container/consumption of alcohol in passenger area. Freeman was fined $10 and court costs.
Victoria Ann Guffey was convicted of possession of marijuana paraphernalia. Guffey was fined $25 and court costs.
William Arthur Jewell was convicted of possession of marijuana paraphernalia. Jewell was fined $20 and court costs.
Samuel W. Kendrick was convicted of possession of marijuana paraphernalia and possession of marijuana up to ½ ounce. Kendrick was sentenced to 10 days in jail with credit for time served.
Brandon Scott Moritz was convicted of driving while impaired and possession of open container/consumption of alcohol in passenger area. Moritz was sentenced to one year unsupervised probation, 48 hours of community service, $310 in fines and court costs.
Scott S. Phillips was convicted of driving while impaired. Phillips was sentenced to one year unsupervised probation, 24 hours of community service, a $100 fine and court costs.
Babar Saeed was convicted of operating a vehicle with improper equipment. Saeed was fined $40 and court costs.
Jonathan Qias Surratt was convicted of possession of marijuana paraphernalia. Surrat was fined $20 and court costs.
