Polk County set to crown 2019 Homecoming Queen at Friday’s game

Polk County will crown its 2019 Homecoming Queen on Friday during the Wolverines’ home football game against Madison.
Six seniors – Zakkiyah Austin, Meadow Becker, Sydney Waldman, Tana Harris, Mireya Roman and Ava Marino – will compete for the title, with the winner crowned during halftime of the game at G.M. Tennant Stadium.
Homecoming festivities will begin on Friday at 5:00 p.m. with the annual parade through downtown Columbus. Mills Street will be closed in the downtown area during the parade.
Miss Wolverine, as chosen by members of Polk County’s football team, will also be announced during halftime.
