Mrs. Marian Cox Wallace

Mrs. Marian Cox Wallace, 74 passed away on September 5, 2019 at Agape Hospice in Landrum, SC.

 She was born February 6, 1945 in Tryon, a daughter of the late Charles and Florence Cox and widow of Daniel C. Wallace. She graduated from Tryon High School where she was the head majorette and drum major. She attended Palmer Business College in Columbia, SC after which she began her secretarial career. She worked as a legal secretary and held various other secretarial positions before joining Tryon Federal Savings and Loan (now Home Trust Bank). She also worked part-time as a concierge at Laurelhurst Retirement Home. Marian’s family, friends, and colleagues describe her as one of the kindest and most caring individuals that they have known. She was also an avid animal lover and never met a pet she didn’t adore.

Marian is survived by sons, William Spencer Wallace and Walter Michael Wallace along with their wives Jennifer Wallace and Charissa Wallace respectively, along with five grandchildren, sister Martha Swain, and her beloved pets Bentley and Lily.

Services will be held at a later date by her family.
