Well, you can’t say rehearsals are boring!  Louisa Wood is riding high, supported by fellow actors Raven Henson, Madisyn Wise and Rylee Barwell, as choreographer Missy Fincher instructs them how to lift and carry – without dropping the special cargo of course! 

 “Matilda the Musical” is about a young girl with the power of imagination who dreams of a better life.  Packed full of high-energy dance numbers and rousing songs, the show won seven Olivier Awards in 2012.  Originally staged by the Royal Shakespeare Company, it went on to thrill West End and Broadway audiences, and then toured the world. 

 The Tryon Summer Youth Theater production is a collaboration between Tryon Little Theater and the Tryon Fine Arts Center. Directed by Chris Tinkler, with musical direction by Pam McNeil and choreography by Missy Fincher, the show plays at the Tryon Fine Arts Center and opens July 17 with a gala presentation, followed by performances July 18-21.
