Green Blades Garden Club – Park on Trade
Published 11:10 pm Sunday, April 28, 2019
There has been a flurry of activity at the Park on Trade as the Green Blades Garden Club has been updating the town hall park. New sod has been installed, a new shade garden created along with removing some plants and planting new plants with added stone work to give the park a clean and polished look.
The park was created from a vacant lot in 2003. After 16 years, it had become a little tired and needed to be given some love and repairs. This is still a work in progress but we are excited to bring new beauty and life to this special pocket park to share with visitors and Polk County residents!
We are so thankful for the grants we have received from the Rotary Club of Tryon, Town of Tryon and the Polk County Appearance Commission. We want to thank Hensons’ Inc. for their donation of the mulch. Last but not least a big thank you to Raymond’s Landscaping of Hendersonville for all their help with the hard work, repairs and design ideas. This could not be possible without everyone’s support!
