COLUMBUS—Trade Mark Building Supply is relocating from Forest City to Columbus. Trade Mark Building Supply operated in Forest City for 7 years serving the Western North Carolina area.

Trade Mark is moving into what is referred to as the Searcy building in downtown Columbus. General Manager Keisha Painter said she is excited about the move and the opportunity to be a part of the Columbus community. Trade Mark has made some renovations to the Searcy building, including updating office space, new siding, fascia, railing, and installed new carpet in the showroom. The new showroom has also been altered to allow products that Trade Mark will carry to be displayed on the walls.

“We have been serving the North Carolina area for the last 7 years out of Forest City. We are excited with our new move to Columbus and the large potential that the local area has in the building industry,” Painter said. “We look forward to being a part of the community, and the opportunities that await.”

Painter said that the majority of their business currently is in Raleigh and Durham, but they are looking to expand even further. Trade Mark also does a lot of business with Schumacher Holmes.

Trade Mark provides many of the exterior supplies for building or repairing homes, Painter said, “We are a company that provides exterior home supplies such as siding, doors, windows, stucco, stone, roofing, etc.

To celebrate their grand opening, Trade Mark will be having a cookout and giveaway to help get the community involved.

Our grand opening is Friday, April 12th, 7 a.m.-5 p.m. We will be serving pastries in the morning and food off the grill in the afternoon,” Painter said. “We will be doing giveaways throughout the day as well; these will include gift cards from local businesses (Southern Manners, Wolverine Pizza, Calvert’s, Ice Cream Barn, etc.). As well as some of our stock items like Kwikset smart deadbolt, Dewalt tools, Modulo Stone, etc. All orders up to $1,000 in value made in person the day of the grand opening will be given 10 percent off.

In addition to the cookout and giveaway, tool vendors will be there to offer more information on their products. Painter expects that most of their vendors will be present.

Dewalt , Plygem, Allura, and Masonite will be at the grand opening to offer more information on their products.

The new business will also be bringing in a few new jobs. While the company moved from Forest City and brought their employees with them, they are looking to expand and grow in their new space. While an exact number of available positions is not known, Painter expects at least 3 new members to join their team.
