Join us on March 12th to help us in developing the Agricultural Economic Development focus for the Isothermal Region. The Isothermal Regional Economic Development Strategy calls for an increase in the export value of agricultural products in our region by 5% by year 2022. In addition, it calls for an increase in the number of local food outlets by 10%; growing the number of agricultural producers by 10%, and increasing the collaboration among industry stakeholders in the Isothermal Region.
We welcome you to this regional conversation which will be hosted by the IRC and will feature Dawn Jordan, of the Polk County Office of Agricultural Economic Development, for a discussion on Agriculture in the region and the economic development importance of same.
The meeting will take place in Rutherfordton at 146 N Main Street in Community Room at the Woodrow Jones Building (directly across from the Isothermal Regional Commission Office).
We encourage you to invite interested folks in your community who are engaged in the world of agriculture.
