During the month of December 2018, the Saluda Police Department responded to 87 calls for service. There were 24 state citations issued; eight city citations issued; 12 warning tickets; two accidents; two breaking and entering; 10 welfare checks; three alarms; one open door; 11 suspicious person/vehicle and two property damage. 

Officers patrolled 5,249 miles; checked businesses and churches every night; made nine arrests; did one road check with the Polk County Sheriff’s Office and Columbus Police Department and assisted the Polk County Sheriff’s Office, the Columbus Police Department, the North Carolina Highway Patrol and the Saluda Fire Department.
