The Rich Nelson Band will perform at The Tryon Theatre on Sunday, Feb. 24, 2019.
Attendees can either pay or bring a food item for Thermal Belt Outreach for admission. This will be the first concert at the theater since its complete renovation in 2018.
Nelson is a rock musician originally from Detroit. He has been making music and art in the mountains of North Carolina since 2004. After playing in a number of Carolina bands, such as 176, the Trophy Husbands, and the Casual Zealots, Rich recorded his first solo record, “Ever Since Now,” in 2018.
People can listen to it at RichNelsonBand.com, or on iTunes, Spotify, Bandcamp, Soundcloud and other sites. There are also three recent music videos from “Ever Since Now” on YouTube, directed by Luke Nelson.
The Rich Nelson Band features Robert George on drums, Bob Bencze on keys, Stephen Cohen on bass and Tim McCall on guitar. Some special guests such as Jim Peterman and Ian Harrod will sit in a bit at the Tryon Theatre show.
