Saluda fourth-graders learn more about inner workings of Earth

Students in Stephanie Uhrich’s fourth-grade class at Saluda Elementary have been studying magnetism and about the layers of the Earth. Students learned about the solid inner core and liquid outer core that creates a magnetic field around the Earth. This magnetic field serves to deflect most of the solar wind.
