Polk County District Court Results – Oct. 17, 2018

In Polk County District Court on Wednesday, Oct. 17, 2018, with Judge Fritz Mercer presiding, 111 cases were heard. Some cases were continued, dismissed or sent to superior court.

The following were convicted of a crime:

Alexander M. Barnes was convicted of rear seat belt violation. Barnes was fined $50.

Hortensia Arce Boone was convicted of speeding 34 mph in a 25 mph zone. Boone was fined $51 and court costs.

Ashley Bottom was convicted of rear seat belt violation. Bottom was fined $10.

Everette Eugene Durham was convicted of level-five driving while impaired. Durham was sentenced to one-year unsupervised probation, 24 hours of community service, a $100 fine and court costs.

William Russel Emerick was convicted of operating a vehicle with improper equipment. Emerick was fined $40 and court costs.

Robert Lee Fullagar was convicted of operating a vehicle with improper equipment. Fullagar was fined $40 and court costs.

Nicholas Wesley Jolley was convicted of felony probation violation and possession of drug paraphernalia. Jolley was sentenced to 90 days in jail with credit for 55 days.

Treva Yvette Marsh was convicted of operating a vehicle with improper equipment. Marsh was fined $40 and court costs.

Roy Lee Matthews III was convicted of failure to appear on misdemeanor. Matthews was sentenced to one day in jail with credit for time served.

Andrew John McCaffery was convicted of operating a vehicle with improper equipment. McCafery was fined $40 and court costs.

Brandon Lee Sargent was convicted of misdemeanor probation violation out of county. Sargent’s probation was terminated unsuccessfully.

Whitney Edythe Stahl was convicted of level five driving while impaired. Stahl was sentenced to one-year unsupervised probation, 24 hours of community service, a $100 fine and court costs.

Cecil L. Votra Jr. was convicted of operating a vehicle with improper equipment. Votra was fined $40 and court costs.

Michael Scott Wasson was convicted of level five driving while impaired. Wasson was sentenced to 30 days in jail with credit, a $100 fine and court costs.

Kelli L. Wilson was convicted of level-five driving while impaired, flee/elude arrest with motor vehicle and attempted identity theft. Wilson was sentenced to one-year unsupervised probation, 27 days in jail with credit and court costs.

Marcus Dean Wooten was convicted of simple assault. Wooten was sentenced to 30 days in jail with credit for time served.
