Eloise Thompson Thwing

Eloise Thompson Thwing, 98, of Tryon, passed away Oct. 18, 2018, at White Oak Manor. 

She was the daughter of the late Gordon Edward and Frances Elizabeth Sweeting Thompson, and wife of the late Richard Watson Thwing Sr.

Eloise was a registered nurse and prior director of the Thermal Belt Outreach. She was instrumental in starting Thermal Belt Outreach and worked for many years serving our community. 

Eloise Thwing was one of the greatest women you could meet. She was always offering a helping hand to those in need, and was loved by many!   

She is survived by a son, Richard Watson Thwing Jr. of Florida; two granddaughters; and three great-grandsons.

A celebration of life will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 27, 2018, at White Oak Nursing Home.  

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, 1990 Augusta St., Suite 600, Greenville, SC 29605.
