Celebrating Columbus’ past

Held under the shadows of one of Polk County’s most historic structures, the second annual Columbus Heritage Festival took place Saturday on the lawns of the county courthouse. The event celebrated some of the region’s deepest traditions, with art and crafting demonstrations, and music by Old Time Overmountain String Band. An old John Deere tractor was also on display during the event, which was sponsored by the Discover Columbus Committee. (Photos by Ted Yoakum/Tryon Daily Bulletin)
