Wolverines nearly end Rams’ unbeaten run in 5-4 loss

Polk County put a scare into undefeated T.C. Roberson on Wednesday, dropping a 5-4 decision to the Rams in a nonconference girls tennis match at Polk.
The Wolverines (3-5) split singles matches with the Rams (8-0). T.C. Roberson took two of three doubles matches to secure the win.
The Rams picked up a key win at No. 2 singles, where Kendall Champlin outlasted Tana Harris 11-10 (7-2). Polk County responded with wins by Hannah Jenne, Julia Griffin and Virginia Rostick.
Harris and Jenne teamed for an 8-6 win at No. 1 doubles.
Polk County will be back in action on Tuesday, hosting Crest.
