Travelers to downtown Tryon spent a little extra time getting to their destination Monday morning, as a portion of Trade Street, from Howard Street to Palmer Street, was closed, as crews with the Department of Transportation began milling and repaving work along U.S. 176. The repaving work will be done from the state line to the Highway 108 intersection. The town said travelers should expect delays and detours along the affected portion of the highway, as work will continue over the next couple weeks. (Photos by Ted Yoakum/Tryon Daily Bulletin)
