Doris Flynn Petty, 75, of Landrum, passed away on July 9, 2018. 

She was the daughter of the late Hoyt Lee Flynn and Zeona Culbreth Flynn. 

She was a selfless, loving mother and friend. She enjoyed her children and her grandchildren, and loved to attend their sporting events. 

She poured her life into giving to others, including many years spent in the Landrum Youth Sports and the local girl scout troop. She worked as a legal secretary for many years as well as the manager of the Architectural Warehouse. She later worked with her family at Petty Funeral Home. 

She is survived by her children, Paula Petty Dotson (Shannon), Elizabeth Petty Smith (Brandon) and Johnny Petty; her grandchildren, Cole Dotson, Rachel Smith, Chase Dotson, Keeleigh Petty, Clay Smith, Charlie Smith, Samuel Smith, Bryson Dotson, Grayson Dotson and Graham Dotson; her aunts, Anne Culbreth, Kathleen Culbreth and Iris Thompson; her sister, Nancy Egerton; and her loyal friend, Lee Major. 

The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. to noon Thursday, July 12, 2018, at Petty Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at noon at the funeral home chapel, conducted by the Rev. Mark Bishop. 

Burial will be private.
