After 604 hours of training and rigorous exams, Jonathan Price recently received certification on the national registry as an emergency medical technician. He also received his North Carolina firefighter 1 and 2 certification. A member of Columbus Fire Department and the Polk County Rescue Squad, Price is a rising senior at Western Carolina University, majoring in emergency and disaster management. He is the son of Robbie and Sheila Price, of Columbus. (Submitted photo)
