Polk County District Court Results – June 6

In Polk County District Court on Wednesday, June 6, 2018, with Judge Athena F. Brooks presiding, 146 cases were heard. Some cases were continued, dismissed or sent to superior court.
The following persons were convicted of a crime:
Charles Jack Anderson was convicted of operating a vehicle with improper equipment and no operator’s license. Anderson was sentenced to one day in jail with credit for time served.
Glenn Robert Bradey was convicted of failure to notify DMV of address change. Bradey was fined $20 and court costs.
Rachel Diane Bradley was convicted of rear seat belt violation. Bradley was fined $200.
Mary Elizabeth Brown was convicted of failure to notify DMV of address change. Brown was fined $20 and court costs.
Tyler James Cook was convicted of simple possession of schedule IV controlled substance. Cook was sentenced to one day in jail with credit for time served.
Stewart Dane Davis was convicted of possession of schedule II controlled substance. Davis was fined $50 and court costs.
Shaunte Yvette Douglas was convicted of operating a vehicle with improper equipment. Douglas was fined $40 and court costs.
Dallas Frederick Edwards was convicted of operating a vehicle with improper equipment. Edwards was fined $40 and court costs.
Vickie M. Henderson was convicted of failure to notify DMV of address change. Henderson was fined $20 and court costs.
Jason Franklin Kempton was convicted of possession of drug paraphernalia. Kempton was fined $50 and court costs.
Joshua Michael Kerr was convicted of driving while license revoked-impaired revocation. Kerr was sentenced to one year unsupervised probation, a $50 fine and court costs.
Caleb E. Kunath was convicted of misdemeanor larceny. Kunath was sentenced to 10 days in jail with credit for time served.
Brandon Lee M. Logan was convicted of reckless driving to endanger. Logan was fined $20 and court costs.
Willow Rose Miller was convicted of felony probation violation. Miller’s probation was extended for one year.
Jonathan Wayne Owensby was convicted of operating a vehicle with improper equipment. Owensby was fined $40 and court costs.
Justin Todd Potter was convicted of possession of drug paraphernalia and carrying a concealed weapon. Potter was sentenced to 25 days in jail with credit for time served.
Rashid Robin Rice was convicted of operating a vehicle with improper equipment. Rice was fined $40 and court costs.
Ellen Benjamin Thomas was convicted of misdemeanor death by vehicle. Thomas was sentenced to one year supervised probation, 50 hours of community service and court costs.
Michael Allen Walker was convicted of level five driving while impaired. Walker was sentenced to one year unsupervised probation, one day in jail, a $100 fine and court costs.
Jakeena Rolin Wilkins was convicted of probation violation. Wilkins’ sentence was activated and changed to 41 days in jail with credit.
Phillip Barrow Yantis was convicted of level five driving while impaired. Yantis was sentenced to one year unsupervised probation, one day in jail, a $100 fine and court costs.
Marcus OBrian Young was convicted of operating a vehicle with improper equipment. Young was fined $40 and court costs.
