During the month of April 2018, the Tryon Fire Department answered 77 calls for service.

Calls included one grass fire, one brush fire (automatic aid), two brush fires (automatic aid-dispatched and cancelled), one furnace fire, one fire (other), one smoke scare, one prescribed burn (mutual aid), seven hazardous conditions (tree), four motor vehicle accidents, three aircraft standby, one search for person, two rescue person, one rescue animal, eight public service, 40 emergency medical services, one false alarm Medical Alert and two false alarm fires.
