Published 8:00 am Thursday, May 3, 2018
Frank’s Music Hall is asking local music lovers to put 7 p.m. Saturday on their calendars and plan an evening with Roy Book Binder.
The musician will be stopping off at Frank’s on his way to Isis in Asheville, where he is appearing Sunday.
Musically, Roy Book Binder is difficult to fence in or categorize. His eclectic repertoire includes blues, country tunes, bluegrass, folk and popular songs that originated on Tin Pan Alley.
Although his official residence is in Florida, country-blues troubadour Roy Book Binder practically lives on the road, driving his camper to gigs at coffeehouses, small clubs, and blues festivals.
Roy Book Binder has been on the road and playing country blues for audiences since the blues revival of the ‘60s, when he was a student of the Rev. Gary Davis.
For reservations, call Frank at 828-817-6752. Frank’s Music Hall is located in Campobello/Gramling 14813 Asheville Highway.
