During the month of March 2018, the Saluda Police Department answered 67 calls for service.

There were eight arrests, including one on a warrant, one fugitive, one driving while impaired, four drug arrests and one fictitious information to officer.

There were 27 state citations, five city citations, 26 warnings, one accident, nine welfare checks, five alarms, two open doors and 12 suspicious person/vehicles.

Officers assisted the Polk County Sheriff’s Office, the Columbus Police Department, the North Carolina Highway Patrol and the Saluda Fire & Rescue, checked businesses and churches every night, and patrolled 4,359 miles.
