Polk County Superior Court results

In Polk County Criminal Superior Court on Jan. 29, 2018, with Judge Joseph N. Crosswhite presiding, 48 cases were heard. Some cases were continued or dismissed.
The following persons were convicted of a crime:
Benjamin Damacus Byars was convicted of possession of stolen goods. Byars was sentenced to 60 days in jail with credit for 96 days served, two years supervised probation, $1,189 in restitution and court costs.
Darius Leon Johnson was convicted of trafficking in cocaine. Johnson was sentenced to 35-51 months in prison, a $50,0000 fine, $600 in lab fees and court costs.
Brandon Keith Lovelace was convicted of possession/distribute meth precursor and possession of methamphetamine. Lovelace was sentenced to eight months in prison with 190 days credit, two years supervised probation and court costs.
Rachel Rene Lyda was convicted of possession of drug paraphernalia. Lyda was sentenced to 13 days in jail with credit for time served.
Andrew Dereck Tickle was convicted of possession with intent to sell and deliver marijuana. Tickle was sentenced to 18 months supervised probation and court costs.
