Polk County District Court results

In Polk County District Court on Jan. 29, 2018, with Judge Athena F. Brooks presiding, 70 cases were heard. Some cases were continued, dismissed or sent to superior court.
The following persons were convicted of a crime:
Melvin Henry Garrick was convicted of speeding 74 mph in a 65 mph zone. Garrick was fined $10 and court costs.
Jeremy Leon Hawkins was convicted of possession of schedule VI controlled substance. Hawkins was sentenced to one day in jail with credit for time served.
Roxie Maxine Kitts was convicted of carrying a concealed gun. Kitts was sentenced to 12 months unsupervised probation.
Colleen Pelz was convicted of two counts of simple possession of schedule II controlled substance. Pelz was sentenced to two days in jail with credit.
Jason A. Shrewsbury was convicted of possession of schedule II controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. Shrewsbury was sentenced to one day in jail with credit.
Jarrod Austin Smiley was convicted of carrying a concealed gun. Smiley was sentenced to 12 months unsupervised probation, a $50 fine and court costs.
Francisco S. Valdez was convicted of carrying a concealed gun. Valdez was sentenced to 12 months unsupervised probation, a $50 fine and court costs.
Robert William Waters was convicted of possession of schedule II controlled substance. Waters was sentenced to one day in jail with credit for time served.
In Polk County District Court on Jan. 31, 2018, with Judge T. Mack Brittain presiding, 175 cases were heard. Some cases were continued, dismissed or sent to superior court.
The following persons were convicted of a crime:
Lauren Nicole Bickford was convicted of driving while license revoked-not impaired revocation. Bickford was fined $50 and court costs.
Guillermo Delgadillo was convicted of driving while license revoked-impaired revocation. Delgadillo was sentenced to 12 months unsupervised probation, a $250 fine and court costs.
Justin Talbert Finney was convicted of take big game animal to wit, possession of deer taken in closed season and failure to report/tag big game. Finney was fined $250, $602 in restitution and court costs.
Emil Roberto Lenzi was convicted of two counts of negligent hunting, three counts of spotlight deer/night deer hunt and hunt from motor vehicle. Lenzi was sentenced to 12 months unsupervised probation, 72 hours of community service, a $500 fine and court costs.
Randy Bash Littlejohn was convicted of failure to appear on misdemeanor. Littlejohn was sentenced to 12 months unsupervised probation and court costs.
Nathaniel S. Loehr was convicted of level four driving while impaired. Loehr was sentenced to 12 months unsupervised probation, 48 hours of community service, a $200 fine and court costs.
Mandi Raye Metcalf was convicted of driving while license revoked-impaired revocation, possession of methamphetamine and attempted possession of a controlled substance on prison/jail premises. Metcalf was sentenced to 24 months supervised probation, 10 days in jail with credit, a $200 fine and court costs.
Qawiyy Ryhim Nasheed was convicted of operating a vehicle with improper equipment. Nasheed was to pay court costs.
Mathew Joseph Pago was convicted of operating a vehicle with improper equipment. Pago was fined $40 and court costs.
Patrick Ryan Phillips was convicted of level five driving while impaired. Phillips was sentenced to 12 months unsupervised probation, 24 hours of community service, a $100 fine and court costs.
Bobby Wayne Reed III was convicted of failure to appear on misdemeanor. Reed was sentenced to 12 months unsupervised probation, a $50 fine and court costs.
Jessica Charlotte Tate was convicted of spotlight deer/night deer hunt. Tate was sentenced to 12 months unsupervised probation, a $500 fine and court costs.
Darren Tyler Vance was convicted of operating a vehicle with improper equipment. Vance was fined $40 and court costs.
William Jeffery Wilson was convicted of level one driving while impaired. Wilson was sentenced to 30 days in jail, 18 months supervised probation, 72 hours of community service, a $500 fine and court costs.
