Polk County Public Libraries is joining NC Cardinal, a growing consortium of public libraries in 40 North Carolina counties, later this month. NC Cardinal is dedicated to sharing resources and expanding opportunities through the use of a single online catalog. It expands items available to PCPL patrons from about 50,000 to over 6.4 million!

The Friends of Polk County Public Libraries support the library through projects such as contributing to the children’s Summer Reading Program and other events, sponsoring development opportunities for the library staff, holding appreciation events for the library volunteers, and planning free programs and speakers of general interest for the community.
