Polk County District Court results

In Polk County District Court on Wednesday, Dec. 13, 2017, with Judge Peter Knight presiding, 103 cases were heard. Some cases were continued, dismissed or sent to superior court.

The following persons were convicted of a crime:

Christopher E. Burrell was convicted of possession of marijuana up to ½ ounce and possession of marijuana paraphernalia. Burrell was fined $75 and court costs.

Erika Alexandria Lowe was convicted of level five driving while impaired. Lowe was sentenced to one day in jail, 12 months unsupervised probation, a $100 fine and court costs.

Christopher L. Lucas was convicted of possession of open container/consumption of alcohol in passenger area. Lucas was fined $25 and court costs.

Brandon Jamar McCluney was convicted of failure to notify DMV of address change. McCluney was fined $25 and court costs.

Gary Trent Ponder was convicted of possession of methamphetamine. Ponder was sentenced to 8-19 months in prison.

April Dawn Roberts was convicted of failure to comply with community service/monies. Roberts probation was extended until June 13, 2019.

Jesse Ray Shelton was convicted of domestic violence protective order violation. Shelton was sentenced to 21 days in jail with credit.
