In Polk County Criminal Superior Court on Monday, Nov. 13, 2017, with Judge James T. Davis presiding, 84 cases were heard. Some cases were continued or dismissed.

The following persons were convicted of a crime:

Dan Lee Brady was convicted of five counts of indecent liberties with a child. Brady was sentenced to 48-60 months in prison, six years of supervised probation and court costs.

Christopher T. Crawford was convicted of assault on a female and assault by strangulation. Crawford was sentenced to three years supervised probation and court costs.

James Allen Newton was convicted of level five driving while impaired. Newton was sentenced to one year unsupervised probation, a $200 fine and court costs.
