Columbus Fire Department report

During the month of October 2017, the Columbus Fire Department answered 130 calls for service.
There were 43 calls in the Town of Columbus, including one fire, one brush fire, one outside rubbish, one rescue, 16 medical assists, four EMS calls, one motor vehicle accident with injuries, five motor vehicle accidents with no injuries, one heat from short circuit, two service calls, one person in distress, one public service assistance, one public service, two dispatched and cancelled, one no incident found, one smoke scare, one false alarm, one alarm system due to malfunction and one citizen complaint.
In the Columbus Township, the fire department responded to 64 calls, including one brush fire, 21 medical assists, three EMS calls, two motor vehicle accidents with injury, four motor vehicle accidents with no injuries, five hazardous conditions, four power lines down, two public service assistance, one assist police or government agency, four public service, one good intent call, seven dispatched and cancelled, three no incident found, one false alarm, one smoke detector activation, one detector due to malfunction, two alarm system activation and one special type of incident.
For the Columbus Fire station 2, there were six calls, including two medical assists, one assist police or government agency, one dispatched and cancelled, one steam, vapor, for or dust thought to be smoke and one EMS call.
In the Green Creek Township, Columbus responded to three calls, including one public assist and two dispatched and cancelled.
For the Mill Spring Township, Columbus responded to six calls, including one fire, two medical assists, one motor vehicle accident with no injuries, one power line down and one smoke scare.
For the Saluda Township, Columbus responded to one medical assist and for the Tryon Township, Columbus responded to one medical assist.
