William A. Lippincott IV

Bill died peacefully on September 4, 2017 at White Oak of Tryon, after a short illness. Born in Boston, he grew up in Montgomery County, Pa. and graduated from Springfield High School, Class of 1942. Bill served in the U.S. Army 28th Infantry Division during World War II and was a POW the last nine months of the War.

Bill and Martleen Parke were married for almost sixty years and had two sons. He was preceded in death by his loving wife Marty in 2008. He is survived by his sons William A. Lippincott V (Peggy) of Severna Park, Md. and Kenneth P. Lippincott of Laurel Springs, N.J. He also has two grandchildren, Courtney Ann Koehler (Bryan) and William A. Lippincott VI. On July 20, 2017, Bill became a great-grandfather to Camden James Koehler. Bill is also survived by his sister-in-law Nancy J. Parke of Elizabethtown, Pa.

True to his lifelong commitment of serving and helping others, Bill donated his body for medical research to Wake Forest Medical Center. Interment will be private.
