During the month of September 2017, the Saluda Police Department answered 73 calls for service.

There were six arrests, including two on fugitive warrants, two driving while impaired, one order for arrest and one drug arrest.

There were 46 state citations issued, 12 city citations issued, 23 warning tickets, four accidents, two larcenies, 16 welfare checks, three alarms, three open doors and 22 suspicious person/vehicle calls.

Officers checked all businesses and churches every night, assisted Polk County, Columbus, the N.C. Highway Patrol and the Saluda Fire Department, participated in four check points with the highway patrol, Columbus and Polk County and patrolled 4,021 miles.
