Landrum Middle School and O.P. Earle Elementary School put on the gold for childhood cancer awareness month. Students, staff and teachers wore gold clothing or gold cancer ribbons Friday, Sept. 29 to help raise awareness for childhood cancer. Spartanburg School District One Chief Communications Officer Sandra Williams said childhood cancer is much more prevalent than most people realize and there are several children in District One schools who suffer from the disease.
