In Polk County District Court on Wednesday, Aug. 23, 2017, with Judge T. Mack Brittain presiding, 118 cases were heard. Some cases were continued, dismissed or sent to superior court.
The following persons were convicted of a crime:
Laura Krugman Aguirre was convicted of operating a vehicle with improper equipment. Aguirre was fined $40 and court costs.
Sarah Marie Bobbit was convicted of operating a vehicle with improper equipment. Bobbit was fined $40 and court costs.
William Braden Bradley was convicted of operating a vehicle with improper equipment. Bradley was fined $40 and court costs.
Ernest R. Browning was convicted of speeding 74 mph in a 65 mph zone. Browning was to pay court costs.
Amber F. Buie-Collard was convicted of operating a vehicle with improper equipment. Buie-Collard was fined $40 and court costs.
Jennifer M. Caulder was convicted of simple possession of schedule II controlled substance. Caulder was sentenced to five days in jail, with credit for five days and court costs.
Heather Lynn Ellis was convicted of operating a vehicle with improper equipment. Ellis was fined $40 and court costs.
Barbara Ann Hash was convicted of operating a vehicle with improper equipment. Hash was fined $40 and court costs.
Luis Fern Lacayorojas was convicted of speeding 74 mph in a 65 mph zone. Lacyorojas was to pay court costs.
Ryan Lee Ramsey was convicted of operating a vehicle with improper equipment. Ramsey was fined $40 and court costs.
Haley Miranda Smith was convicted of operating a vehicle with improper equipment. Smith was fined $40 and court costs.
Jimmy Dean Watts was convicted of operating a vehicle with improper equipment. Watts was fined $40 and court costs.
Lucy Otilia Williams was convicted of operating a vehicle with improper equipment. Williams was fined $40 and court costs.
