Predicted heavy rain for Friday has caused officials to move Landrum’s home football game against Broome to Thursday evening, with opening kickoff set for 6:30 p.m. (rather than the usual 7:30).
No one can take Broome (2-0) lightly, least of all Cardinal head coach Jason Farmer.
“Broome is a very good team off to a really good start,” Farmer observed. “They are 2-0 and coming off of a (55-3) victory vs. Christ Church. Our kids have responded well in practice this week and I am looking forward to seeing them compete against Broome High School on Thursday night. We must continue to play better offensively and eliminate big play mistakes on defense and special teams.”
In last week’s season opener, the Cardinals scored three touchdowns, but lost to Blue Ridge, at Greer.
