Tryon Arts & Crafts School’s upcoming Shore Show will feature a variety of “beachy” aquatic-themed artwork. The show, which opens on Friday, August 4 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the school’s gallery at 373 Harmon Field Road, will also feature shag music and dancing, with a suggested donation of $10 at the door.
The show will be one of TACS’ largest arts and crafts shows, representing the work of over 60 artists with 170 pieces of art. The reception will also feature “summer days at the shore” picnic-style hors d’oeuvres, and Debbie and Paul Peterson from the Mountain Shag Club, who recently led two shag workshops at the school, will be in attendance showing off their steps.
For additional information on the show or upcoming classes (new session starting next week) and workshops, go to www.tryonartsandcrafts.org or call the office at 828-859-8323.
