Pianist Elizabeth Child to perform at Holy Cross

Elizabeth Child will perform J. S. Bach’s Partita No.4 in D Major on the Bach’s Lunch Wednesdays at Noon Lenten Recital Series at The Episcopal Church of the Holy Cross in Tryon on Wednesday, April 5 at noon.
Dr. Child holds a doctorate in performance from The Juilliard School, a master’s degree in performance from the University of Michigan and a bachelor’s degree in performance from Converse College.
Currently teaching at her piano studio in Tryon, she has returned to performing after an interim career in nonprofit management at organizations in the Tryon area. From 2002-2014, she served as executive director of St. Luke’s Hospital Foundation, director of development at Hospice of the Carolina Foothills and executive director of Tryon Fine Arts Center. She currently volunteers for Big Brothers Big Sisters and Tryon Fine Arts Center.
