Spring skies did not dampen enthusiasm for McCreery Park fundraiser

Early spring enveloped Saluda for last Saturday’s McCreery Park fundraiser. Ellen Rogers, one of the organizers and park supporters, noted of the improvement project, “We’re working on it piece by piece.” The first $15,000 has been tagged for ADA (Americans with Disability Act) accessibility at the park’s northwest entrance. Saturday’s activities included square dancing by local youngsters, under Rogers’ instruction, along with music by Todd Neal and Co.
