Landrum throws the heat at Broome

Tuesday’s weather was better suited for football than baseball, but Landrum got the pitching and the hits needed to dust off visiting Broome, 9-3. Here, Cardinals’ starting pitcher Coleman Walker rears back to deliver a pitch to a Broome batter. In the Cardinals’ eight-run fourth, Walker led off with a hard double down the left field line. After walking in his second at-bat of the inning, Walker scored ahead of a bases-loaded double. The Cardinals had trailed, 3-0, before their big uprising. The win upped the Cardinals’ season mark to 8-0. This evening, the Cardinals host Brashier Middle College Charter. First pitch is set for 7 p.m. (Photo by Mark Schmerling)
