Cheyenne Miller

Cheyenne Miller, 23, of Spindale, N.C., died Thursday, Feb. 23, 2017 due to a tragic vehicle accident.

She was a native of Rutherford County and the daughter of Lexie Burnette Wilkins and Andrea Chyrell Miller and Guardian Ellen Cantrell. She was a dedicated U.S. Marine veteran, loved sports including track, soccer, basketball and high jump. She was a childhood member of First Baptist Church
of Rutherfordton and a current member of Zion Grove A.M.E. Church in Green Creek.

Cheyenne grew up on the Green River Plantation and had a true zest for life. She loved to travel, was an avid dog lover and loved to spend time with friends and family. She was preceded in death by paternal grandmother Betty Jean Wilkins, paternal grandfather Billy Mack Littlejohn, maternal grandfather Paul Miller and guardian William Cantrell.

She is also survived by her wife Luz Miller; eight sisters, Chatiqua, Ashley, Shawna, Lachelle, Diretha, Kyila, Aubrey Jean, and Alexa Brynne’; four brothers, Grayson Wilkins, Nick Miller, Juawan Brown, and Ja’Marius Williams; a maternal grandmother, Ann Littlejohn; step-mothers Vergia Mosely and Jennifer Banning; a special step-child Korbyn Warner; and numerous extended family.

The family will receive friends on Friday, March 3, 2017 from 12:30 – 2 p.m. at Zion Grove AME Church in Polk County. The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, March 3, 2017 at Zion Grove AME Church with Pastor Arnie Twitty officiating. Military honors will be provided by the Rutherford County Honor Guard. An online guest register is available at www.mcmahansfuneral@bellsouth.net.
