Among region teams, only Chesnee finished the season ahead of Landrum in wrestling dual meet results.

On Saturday, Feb. 4, the seventh-seeded Cardinals defeated 10th-seeded Andrew Jackson, 50-21,in the opening round at the Upper State Duals held at North Central. The Cardinals then fell to second-seeded North Central, 53-24.

The Cardinals finished the season at10-13, and second place in the region. They did not qualify for the Feb. 11 state dual finals, but a number of Cardinal wrestlers will compete in the state individual championships at Anderson Civic Center on Feb. 24 and 25.
