Foothills Equestrian Nature Center (FENCE) welcomes Allison Rhyne, the new program director for Therapeutic Riding of Tryon (TROT) at FENCE.
Rhyne was raised in Greenville, S.C. and graduated from Wake Forest University. She had a long career in insurance and risk management while living in the Charleston, S.C. area. She most recently served as president of HUB International’s Carolinas operations. She has also been active with the local affiliates of nonprofit organizations like the American Red Cross and Girl Scouts.
Stepping back from the insurance business, Rhyne has returned to the area she loves. She is very excited to become part of the community in Tryon and comments, “As a long-time horse person, I have seen firsthand how much a relationship with a horse can change a person’s perspective, build their confidence and improve skills. It is a dream to be able to work with a program that is dedicated to making a difference in the lives of children and adults using horses as the bridge.”
