McCrory led the governor’s race most of Tuesday night, but results came in late putting Cooper ahead. There was a glitch in voting machines in Durham County Tuesday and the voting times were extended last minute until 9 p.m. Tuesday.

The results will not be official until next Friday, Nov. 18, when canvassing of the votes is scheduled by boards of elections around the state.
