Train project will welcome Saluda visitors

It has taken a while to get a train up the Saluda Grade from Tryon, but Bill Crowell and Dylan Walker of The Saluda Forge in Tryon got one up to the Saluda Historic Depot in time for the Saluda Train Days.
This small but heavy (approximately 300 pounds) replica will be in front of a new kiosk that will feature depot events and a city map.
These projects were funded by matching grants from the Polk County Appearance Commission and the depot’s fundraising projects.
