LANDRUM – Blame it on Matthew, the hurricane, that is. Regardless, Landrum will play varsity football tonight, rather than tomorrow, hosting St. Joseph’s Catholic, the change apparently due to weather developments.

 Game time is 7 p.m., not 7:30.

Two and four, the Cardinals are, but head coach Jason Farmer knows that his team is better than its record indicates. With a couple of plays going the other way, the Cardinals could easily be 4-2, with a conference win. Last week, Chesnee edged the Cardinals in Landrum’s first conference game of the year.

Like Landrum, St. Joseph’s is 2-4, and 0-1 in conference play. This will be a conference/region matchup.

Farmer takes no team lightly, describing the contest as “another difficult region game. We must play well, but (I’m) excited for our kids to continue our great play.”
