Child fatality/abuse prevention training Tuesday
Published 10:00 pm Friday, September 30, 2016
The Polk County Child Fatality Prevention & Protection Team is sponsoring a community-wide training on the effects of trauma and adverse childhood experiences. Marilyn Kaylor with Smoky Mountain MCO will present the training.
As we work together to restore hope to children and families affected by adverse childhood experiences, we can also realistically evaluate the needs in our community to prevent child abuse and neglect.
Please plan to join us on Tuesday, Oct. 4, at Isothermal Community College, Polk Campus from 6:30 – 8 p.m.
Every child deserves to wake up to a loving family, play in a safe community, and fall asleep with a smile as they dream about the wonders of tomorrow.
Let’s make this a reality In Polk County!
