During the month of August 2016, the Polk County Sheriff’s Office answered 722 calls for service.

There were 20 felony arrests, 26 misdemeanor arrests and 20 citations issued.

Officers completed 1,122 house checks, 3,413 business checks, 1,488 church checks, assisted the public 10 times, served 79 civil papers, 30 criminal papers and patrolled 26,113 miles.

The Polk County Jail booked a total of 78 inmates, including 49 males and 29 females.
